PedalForGood (P4G) is on a mission to inspire a new generation of youth through the power of bikes. This is the third edition of the SA DreamBike Raffle, offering riders more than just a chance to win top-tier prizes but a way to shape a brighter future for at-risk youth.

Supporting youth development with Trail Therapy has never been easier; you can get in on the awesome raffle for only R300, which buys two tickets, and every two tickets sold contributes directly to 3 hours of evidence-driven Trail Therapy for a participant each week.
Why Trail Therapy?
Trauma-informed sports organisations like P4G are built on the understanding that many young people carry unseen burdens, exposure to violence, grief, poverty, or loss. Trail Therapy offers a mobile, responsive space where movement meets mental health support: bikes, nature, mentors, and group connection. It’s more than training rides, it’s therapy in motion.
According to recent studies, the mental health treatment gap in South Africa is almost 92%, meaning that only 1 in 10 people living with a mental health condition in South Africa receive the care they need. Source. South Africa faces one of the world’s largest mental health treatment gaps: nearly 30% of all citizens will experience a mental health challenge in their lifetime. Source. Many children grow up in communities marked by poverty, violence, or loss, where emotional support and safe spaces are scarce. PedalForGood exists to change that.
How: Trauma-Informed Cycling Through Skilled Mentors
P4G’s mentors are trained in trauma awareness, youth engagement, and group facilitation, enabling them to create safe, consistent, and empowering riding experiences. The trails become classrooms for resilience, emotional regulation, and self-belief.

What: Empowering Local Organisations to Lead
Instead of operating as an outside service, P4G equips partner organisations, such as schools, community clubs, and grassroots NGOs, to run Trail Therapy themselves. By bringing the trails to the kids and embedding skills within the community, P4G ensure the programme is sustainable, culturally relevant, and able to reach more young people year after year.
PedalForGood in Action
P4G have supported over 500 participants since its inception in 2020, teaching the majority of the youth a fundamental life skill. The programme has a 74% attendance rate, showcasing the joy children benefit from the programme, whilst parents and teachers have reported improvements in their behaviour at school and at home. Indicating that the participants improve their behaviour management, ability to share and engage with their peers and build resilience in their lives.
Inspiring Clubs & Paying It Forward
To boost the cycling communities and their involvement, P4G has introduced two incentives: PayItFwd, where every ticket a cycling club sells, R10 will be directed back to the club to support a rider or group in their own community, at their discretion. And for the club that sells the most tickets across the country, there is a kickass incentive: a World Champs Jersey signed by mountain-bike legend Nino Schurter.
Sell-more, Give-more, Win-more, it’s built as a cycle of giving. Sign up here!
