Ukama Community Foundation began with a simple mission, to ensure no child goes hungry, and has grown into a vital lifeline for early learning centres and families in vulnerable communities. As a non-profit focused on nourishment, education, and empowerment, it provides daily meals, food parcels, and essential resources to township crèches and informal ECD centres. Through partnerships with local businesses and donors, the foundation strengthens communities and promotes better nutrition for young children. From feeding schemes and soup kitchens to festive drives and learning support, every initiative is rooted in care, dignity, and sustainable impact. Every meal shared helps a child grow and learn. With continued support, Ukama Community Foundation is building a future where every child has the opportunity to flourish.

“I want to show other businesses that they can make an impact socially. Business can be used as a tool to empower people throughout Africa. I hope big businesses will eventually use their power for change as well as for profit and that this approach will even out the societal inequalities throughout Africa.”

End of Year/ Christmas 2025:

This year we want the kids to have an outing for their year end and not a gift pack like other years. These are kids that hardly ever get to leave the townships and enjoy some time to eat together and play. We are looking for monetary donations towards this campaign. We will be catering for 491 kids ages 2 to 7 years from Capricorn and Masiphumelele.

We also have 98 kids under 2 years old that we want to do gifts for, we are looking for the following for the gifts:

-
Small toys suitable for under 2 year olds, preferably educational
-
Cloth and Plastic Books
-
T-shirts aged 1-2 and 2-3
-
Box fruit juices
